West Washington High School Trade/Tech Fair

12-12:30pm. Lunch will be served (Pizza, salad, dessert). Enter through Door 5.  Parking is available to the right and left of the building. The event will take place in Fortner Gym.

 

Event Hours:  12:30-2:30

 

We will provide a table and 2 chairs. Please bring any display or giveaway materials. Feel free to hand out fliers, collect contact info, etc.

 

9th-12th grade students will rotate through the event to ask questions about your opportunities and services. The main focus will be 11th and 12th graders who are making post-graduation employment and training plans. 

 

Pack up and Depart prior to 3pm to beat the student/bus traffic. Students are dismissed at 3:05pm.

 

If you would like to donate any door-prize items, please bring them with you. Our students will be completing activities during the event to be eligible for door prizes.

 

Our current seniors are required to complete Job Shadow days on 5/23 and 5/24. If your place of business can accommodate shadowing students, please feel free to share this information in your conversations with students.

 

We are also looking for partners that are interested in hosting seniors during the 23/24 school year for work based learning opportunities. Students would be available for 1-3 hours during the school day, 5 days per week, to travel to your site for paid work or volunteer internships. Please let me know if you are interested in learning more about hosting a student.
