Join us for an engaging presentation by Karen Schwartz, president of the Historical Society of Harrison County, Indiana, and author of Journey Along Blue River. With her infectious enthusiasm and deep knowledge, Karen will guide us on a captivating exploration of Blue River, tracing its journey from its origins in the forks of Washington County through Harrison and Crawford Counties, to where it empties into the Ohio River near Leavenworth.
Drawing on years of dedicated research for her book housed at the Genealogical Library at the John Hay Center, Karen will highlight the natural beauty, history, and culture of Blue River. Along this virtual voyage, she'll share fascinating insights about towns like Salem, Pekin, Milltown, White Cloud, and Wyandotte, as well as the rich stories of mill sites, churches, bridges, and more.
